PENGARUH PIPA TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK FLUIDISASI

This paper presents an experimental investigation of fluidization characteristics with adding horizontal pipe placed across bed chamber. Experiment was investigated with 177 μm diameter alumina granular placed in bed chamber with 70 mm height from bottom of bed chamber. Bed chamber is fabricated using fiber glass with 105 mm inner diameter and 220 mm long. A copper radial finned tube with 12,7 mm outer pipe diameter used in this experiment. Experiment was investigated by flow the air to bed chamber and flow the water in pipes. The result shows that Nusselt number increase with increasing Reynolds number. The result also shows that Nusselt number increase with  more closer spaces between fins. This study make an empirical correlation as: Nu = -0,0453 . Re0,118 . Pr-0,0129 which used in same condition with this study.
